Kombucha is a fantastic fermented “Tea” drink loaded with probiotics, aka- the healthy microorganisms (yes they are living) which create healthy bacteria for our digestive system.
I have been participating in (& running) our GymCore CrossFit Paleo Challenge. The paleo challenge is not new to me. I eat this way between 85-95% of the time anyway. However, after the holidays I needed a little boost to my not so clean eating through the holidays… Most days I feel really great eating paleo, however there is a “sugar detox” period where a lot of people who are starting Paleo, experience a very “hangover” like sugar headache and some stomach distress. I was not immune to these symptoms either. A lot of this can be accounted to your bodies adjustment to the lack of sugar, but also adjusting its Ph levels. Kombucha can definitely help your body into getting back into an alkaline state (where it is happy). Enter my hunt for Kombucha.
Synergy’s Organic and Raw has several flavors of Kombucha. Many people find the raw taste of Kombucha to be a little difficult at first, so sometimes flavored Kombuchas can help neutralize there strong taste. I have tried many different types including Asian Pear, Gingerberry, Cranberry, Hibiscus & Plain… Today, Mango sounded great to me, and so it was! I highly recommend this delicious beverage!!!!
