For some of you, this will be extremely boring. For those of you who are curious as to what I eat in a day… I decided to share my meals as I thought it might inspire some of you to make some healthier choices. Feel free to email me, or message me on my facebook page with any questions about nutrition and diet. In no way do I claim to have the perfect diet, but I do follow several rules when thinking about what I am going to eat throughout the day.
Rule #1- Always ask yourself if you are truly hungry, or thirsty before you eat… More often than not, we are simply dehydrated.
Rule #2 – Be picky about the type of food you eat. Eat Organic as much as possible but specifically Fruits and Veggies (Local if possible). Grass-Fed Meats and Wild-Caught Fish are also top of the list. The more careful you are, the better output you will have.
Rule #3- Indulge a little, lose a lot versus Indulge a lot, lose a little. When it comes to maintaining or losing weight, this is essential… I don’t believe in completely denying yourself – it’s just not sustainable or realistic. Treat yourself, when you deserve it, but remember food should not be a reward.
M#1 – 16oz Cold Water (Sometimes I have lemon water, but today I did not…), 1 Baked bacon & egg cup (Literally 1/2 a piece of bacon wrapped around a muffin tin, with an egg cracked in the middle), 1 kiwi.
M#2 – 16 oz Iced coffee with cinnamon & splash of almond milk. Handful of almonds, handful of blackberries
M#3- Water – not sure how much. Then a spinach salad, with 1 tbsp-ish hummus (bc I love it), chopped carrots, strawberries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, leftover grilled chicken, balsamic vinegar, and EVOO.
M#4- Guacamole & a few baked chili lime sweet potato chips (these are amazing, I will share the recipe soon… think “hint of lime Tostitos.”)
M#5 – Grilled lemon marinaded salmon with garlic. Kale sauteed with garlic and coconut oil. 1/2 avacado. 1/2 small white sweet potato.
M#6 – 1 5oz Glass of Rose… Yep, Rose. It was delicious.
I’m not a huge fan of Eggs, so this was a rare morning for me. But I really like Eggs when they are baked with bacon. WIN! What did you eat today? How did you feel? Are you getting where you want to be?!
