I have always been a fan of ACV for it’s health benefits, because of this I was given a bottle of fire cider for Christmas last year- and WOW, it’s potent.
Recently I have got a few of my clients hooked on it, and I wanted to share a DIY recipe for those interested in their own home brew.
As any good Basic B*tch would, I use pinterest for finding recipes, workouts and other interesting items of hidden intrinsic value. So I discovered this recipe for homemade Fire Cider – and wanted to share!
2 cups apple cider vinegar (raw unfiltered)
1/2 cups horseradish
1/2 cup garlic
1/2 cup onion
1/4 cup grated ginger
1/4 cup raw LOCAL honey
1 “sprig” of rosemary
1 tbsp black pepper or peppercorns
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp turmeric powder
- Combine all ingredients in a 32 oz glass jar (Mason jars work great!) Place a piece of cheesecloth under the lid, and seal tightly.
- Store in a cool, dark place for one month! (Some people go to the extent of burying the jar0
- When done, strain liquid through cheesecloth back into jar!
