In trying to become more consistent with posting, I decided Wednesday’s I will be sharing my workouts. Currently, most of my workouts are at GymCore CrossFit, where I also coach. However, occasionally I will workout at home, go for a run, paddle board or improvise as needed to get some fitness in!

STRENGTH / FOUNDATION

5 STRICT HANDSTAND PUSHUPS / MOD: BOX HSPU OR 2 WALL CLIMBS
- I have been working hard on my handstand pushups. I love being upside down, but I struggle due to wrist pain caused by De Quervain’s tenosynovitis – which I am working on treating. I am hoping today to be able to work strict handstand push ups to abmat only, but it may take a few rounds to get there. Up until now, I have been working with an abmat and a #10 bumper plate.

- For Today’s Metcon – I am hoping to work on modified muscle ups… My gymnastics strength is slowly coming back since having a baby and injuring my back. I am doing my best to make sure my foundational movements and core strength is there before working on high skill movements I am not prepared for. I haven’t done muscle ups (successfully without modifications) in a little over 2 years, but I’m getting close… Hopefully by the end of the year! The bumper plate overhead lunges should be fine, just some shoulder burn after muscle ups; and I love the jump rope so single under shouldn’t be a problem – just good cardio!
- I will also be working on our 30 day Nutrition Challenge extras which I will not share on here, but know they are a great bonus to our WOD. I will however share my post challenge results!
