It has been a great week thus far! On Sunday, I wasn’t so sure how I would be feeling so I took a little extra time to work on mobility, flexibility and the like… It paid off because on Monday I hit a PR I have been working for, for quite some time – a #201 Back Squat. I know in the fitness world this isn’t a ton of weight, but I was VERY proud because I have worked incredibly hard since having Jameson at having enough core stability to feel comfortable getting full depth heavy back squats. After injuring my back, I wasn’t sure this goal would ever be in reach- but thanks to some hard work, great coaching over at GymCore CrossFit and apparently the right amount of rest- it finally happened.
Today’s weekly workout Wednesday, is actually a rest day for me. I worked out Sunday, Monday, Tuesday – and I plan to go to the gym tomorrow morning, Friday afternoon, and hike Saturday. I will probably spend a good amount of time stretching again, but other than a lot of moving around at Toddler Gymnastics – I am enjoying a day of (somewhat) laziness.
I’m looking forward to sharing a post about my hike, and what next week will look like for training!
